Whistleblower exposes Corruption at Hanford nuclear waste dump

Documentation of corruption at Hanford nuclear waste dump

Thank goodness for the courage and sacrifice of Whistleblowers!

Public Watchdogs’ Director of Development, Nina Babiarz, was talking with one of our Board members who resides in Washington state.  Familiar with our situation at San Onofre, he described to her the daily news coverage in Washington focused on a series of horrific taxpayer overcharges and safety lapses at the government-run Hanford nuclear waste dump in Washington.

Like San Onofre, where a whistleblower revealed the Truth regarding the real cause of Southern California Edison’s (SCE aka ‘Edison’)  2018 ‘near-miss’ accidents, the whistleblower initiated a complaint in January of 2024.  The cmoplaint documented that Hanford Mission Integration Services (HMIS) employees were being instructed to charge the government for a full day’s work regardless of the actual time spent.

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a civil action on behalf of whistleblower Keever that may ultimately recover triple damages from Hanford Mission Integration Services. Get the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) False Claims Act Complaint Intervention here.

The results may be precedent-setting.  Public Watchdogs will continue to keep you posted on this False Claims Act Complaint.
