... because the public has the right to know how government and regulatory agencies conduct the public's business ...
WHO WE ARE
Public Watchdogs is a non-partisan 501(c)3 California Corporation chartered to protect California businesses and residents from the California Public Utilities Commission and other rogue government agencies.
WHAT WE DO
Public Watchdogs researches, publicly exposes and reforms the government, as well as regulatory agencies, responsible for critical California infrastructure and policy, with an emphasis on energy, water, transportation and telecommunications.
HOW WE DO IT
When corruption and malfeasance are investigated and publicized, governments and law enforcement become more accountable. Our goal is to investigate, expose, advocate and to serve as a catalyst for reform.
HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED
Public Watchdogs will raise money to fund our investigative activities and to pay the legal debts of our public advocates, who zealously represent the public, before the California Public Utility Commission and other legal venues without reimbursement.
Your valued donation to Public Watchdogs will fund the good work we do on your behalf. Your support provides the resources we need to attend meetings, monitor government agencies, pay legal expenses, conduct research, and public outreach. It will also fund travel, equipment costs, and staff time to protect your interests, and to monitor and publicly expose malfeasance and corruption.
We work in the spirit of Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, who said “Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants; electric light the most efficient policeman.“
