On March 9, 2021, Public Watchdogs was granted a Petition Review Board meeting with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in response to safety allegations levied by our consultant Paul Blanch. Public Watchdogs has formally asserted that the beachfront Nuclear Waste Dump, or “Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation” (ISFSI) at the failed San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), is operating in a flood plain and tsunami inundation zone in an unanalyzed condition. NRC law forbids licensees to operate nuclear facilities with unanalyzed threats.
Participants in the presentation were Charles Langley, Executive Director of Public Watchdogs, Paul Blanch, Public Watchdogs Consultant and Engineer, and Stuart Scott, founder of Facing the Future Television.
