A giant “Blob” is headed toward San Onofre.

According to National Geographic Magazine  a warm and watery “Blob” that will cause “transformations in marine life” and raise ocean levels up to to twelve inches is heading toward the failed San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.

The San Onofre nuclear plant was closed by a radiation leak on January 31, 2012 when the plant’s majority owner, Southern California Edison refused to heed several  warnings by their own VP of Engineering and proceeded to install experimental replacement parts that were not approved or licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).  An abrupt closure, due to a predictable radiation leak, stranded several million pounds of eternally deadly, radioactive nuclear waste now stored in ‘scratched and gouged’ in cheap, metal canisters located a mere 108 feet from the impending accelerated sea level rise.

The National Geographic story also says the “Blob,” also known as a Kelvin Wave, is a “massive bulge of water” caused by global warming.  The Blob is raising water levels in North and South America, with  “officials bracing for storm surges, erosion, and transformations in marine life.”

Further, the Blob will “worsen the damage already being inflicted by an increase in storms, climate change-driven sea-level rise, and record-high ocean temperatures, which cause water to expand. It’s also one of the major signs that the much-anticipated super El Niño born in the equatorial Pacific Ocean has made it to North and South America.
