10 AM Saturday! Zoom presentation on San Onofre Nuclear Waste and Federal Litigation

This Zoom teleconference event is free, but you must register here in advance.

This coming Saturday, April 24, at 10AM, Public Watchdogs will be presenting a status report and update on the ongoing legal and regulatory battle to safely store eternally deadly nuclear waste at the site of the failed San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS).  Click here to register.

This event is hosted by the ODC – Oceanside Democratic Club.

Here’s the original announcement:

The Oceanside Democratic Club will host Public Watchdogs, a San Diego-based nonprofit, to tell us about legal action to stop burial of nuclear waste along the coast, 20 miles north of here.

We all believe the people have a right to know how government conducts our business, especially when it involves hazardous materials. Public Watchdogs has filed multiple legal actions to halt the ongoing burial of deadly radioactive nuclear waste at the site of the failed San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS).

Currently, Public Watchdogs is planning a final appeal in the United States Supreme Court.

Our guest speakers will present issues around intervening with this dangerous waste storage. All are invited. Join us this Saturday as we welcome Nina Babiarz and Charles Langley from Public Watchdogs.

This is the monthly ODC meeting but we will get most business out of the way right up front. See agenda here.

Please register for the meeting/presentation on Zoom here.   All are invited to attend but registration is required.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday April 24th at 10:00AM
